The plot is partially based on the real events of 1946 involving Yaroslav "Robert" Melnyk, an OUN leader from the Stanislaviv region. According to the plot, the story is set in Ukraine in 1946. Ukrainian insurgents and the commander"s pregnant wife are hiding in a bunker/hideout. They are being hunted by an NKVD unit. However, things are not so simple – someone here is hiding a great secret.
